Queen Margaret Union (QMU) is one of two student unions at the University of Glasgow. Located in the west end, on top of serving students it can also be used as a gig venue for the general public, with a capacity of 700 standing in the main downstairs area, and an additional 200 on the balcony above.

Step-Free Access[edit | edit source]
There is a ramp at the main entrance to the QMU for step-free access from street level. There is a lift that can be used instead of the stairs to move between the floors of the building.
The main standing area of the venue is on the same level as the main entrance, through a few sets of doors. There is a raised platform at the back of this room. Above this raised platform is a seated balcony area, which can be accessed by using the lift or stairs to go up a floor. On this 1st floor is also where the secondary venue space, The Bar, can be found.
Toilets[edit | edit source]
There are male and female toilets on the ground floor. These both contain an accessible toilet that require a key to get into, available from reception.
Gender neutral toilets can be found on the 3rd floor, and the QMU states that staff can show visitors where these are if they are unsure.
Assistance Dogs[edit | edit source]
All dogs are welcome in the QMU, including but not limited to assistance dogs.
Parking[edit | edit source]
There are disabled parking spaces available when booking, but they are limited on a first come, first served basis.
